Looking for one of the most memorable things to do in Stockport or an unforgettable gin experience near Manchester? Join us for a hands-on Gin School Experience where you’ll learn the art of gin making from our expert distiller and craft your very own 70cl bottle of bespoke gin to take home.
Your visit begins with a warm welcome and a double Gin & Tonic before you embark on a guided behind-the-scenes tour of our Stockport Town Centre distillery. We’ll explain the history, process and flavour science behind our Award-Winning spirits. Once warmed up, you’ll head upstairs to the Gin School where each participant gets their own still and botanical selection station.
Under expert guidance, you’ll select botanicals from our extensive range, build your recipe, and then distil it into a custom bottle. While your gin is distilling, enjoy another double Gin & Tonic and samples of our full range while asking questions and learning insider tips from our master distiller.
You’ll then blend, bottle, label and name your creation before enjoying it as a perfectly served Gin & Tonic and sharing tasting notes with the group. With only six stills per session, this is an intimate, immersive experience perfect for friends, couples, gift experiences or anyone curious about craft gin.

Arrival & Welcome - You'll be welcomed in with a Gin & Tonic
Distillery Tour - You'll be given a guided tour of our distillery learning how we make our gin, where we make it, and why every step matters
Botanical Selection - Take a seat at your own mini still and choose from a wide range of botanicals to create your own unique recipe
Distil and Create Your Gin - You'll add your botanicals to your still and begin distilling your gin while enjoying another Gin & Tonic.
Blend, Bottle and Label - You'll then blend your gin to bottling strength before bottling it and labelling it ready to take home and enjoy
Final Tasting - Finally, sit back and enjoy a perfectly served Gin & Tonic made with your own creation.

PLEASE NOTE
The Gin School experience is strictly for those aged 18 and over only. Please don't be offended if we ask you for proof of age if you look younger than 25!
Unfortunately, due to the location of our Gin School being above the distillery and accessed up a flight of stairs, we regret to inform you that it is not suitable for those who require the use of a wheelchair or with mobility issues that struggle to climb stairs. Email us on bookings@stockport-gin.com with any questions regarding this.
We advise that anyone attending our Gin School does not drive to the event as you will be enjoying 3 double Gin & Tonics plus tasters as part of the event. Our distillery is easily accessible by public transport. For those that do choose to drive, soft drinks are available on request.
We try our best to ensure The Loft @ Stockport Gin is a comfortable space to enjoy the experience in. However, in the colder months it can be cool up there, so we advise wrapping up warm!
Our Gin School is set up in 2 groups of 3 stills, so on the event that your experience is fully booked, you may end up sat slightly apart from people you attend with. Don't worry though, it's not too far so you'll still be able to chat and enjoy the experience together!

CANCELLATION POLICY
All Gin School bookings are non-refundable.
In the unfortunate event that you cannot attend your booking we will happily transfer you to an alternative date. However, we require a minimum of 7 days notice. Unfortunately, we cannot transfer bookings with less than 7 days notice before the event.
GIFT VOUCHERS
The Stockport Gin School experience makes a perfect gift for gin lovers, couples or anyone who enjoys unique days out.
Gift Vouchers can be purchased by selecting the desired ticket type and then choosing the 'Buy as a Gift Voucher' option at the bottom of the availability page.
Gift vouchers are available and valid for 12 months, allowing the recipient to choose their own date.
