Here at Stockport Gin we recieve emails & messages daily asking if we can donate a bottle of gin for lots of worthy causes including charity raffles, school fairs, fundraisers, events, etc etc, many tug on the heartstrings and we have indeed donated to lots in the last 5 months... and although we would LOVE to say yes to every request, sadly we can't! (We'd give away more gin than we actually sell if we did, and sadly we aren't a multi-million pound company with rich investors - we are just 2 people making gin in the back room trying to get a new business off the ground!) But it bothers us that we say yes to some and not others...how can we choose?!
So going forward we decided rather than giving away bottles of gin willy-nilly, we would LOVE to work solely helping a chosen local charity. We have a new project in the pipeline which would mean very regular monetary charity donations.
We put out a post on Social Media asking for recommendations for Stockport based charities for us to work with and the response was incredible. Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to email us about a charity close to your heart, all of the emails we had were very heartwarming!

It was very difficult to choose just one charity, and we read all of the emails over and over. It is clear that there are a lot of amazing people doing amazing things for the people of Stockport!

We received an overwhelming amount of emails about one charity in particular, which really stood out, and it is evident that they have touched the lives of a huge number of people in Stockport and beyond!

Stockprot gin Millies Trust Annoucement

After helping numerous charities and worthwhile causes over the last 5 months, we are delighted to announce that we have chosen Millies Trust as our exclusive charity, and have an exciting project coming up which will allow us to make regular donations to Millies Trust.

As parents ourselves, of 2 young girls aged 4 & 5, the work that these people do is absolutely invaluable and they give so much after experiencing such heartache themselves.

Millie's Trust was created by the parents of Millie Thompson who tragically passed away in a choking incident in October 2012.

"As parents of a child ourselves we believe that everyone should have access to First Aid Training no matter what their situation in life is. We aim to make First Aid training readily available for minimal costs and in as many places as possible."

Millie's Trust allow you to attend a First Aid course at the lowest possible cost. They provide First Aid awareness courses if you are pregnant, have a child under the age of 12 months or are struggling to find the funds to attend. They want everyone to be able to learn the skills that not only may help you to save your child's life but also your friend's, parent's or partner's. They also provide a 12-hour Paediatric course for nurseries to ensure more nursery staff become trained.
